No. Followers open the race link or enter the race code on the web, pick a display name, and start watching live — no app and no account needed.
How do cheers reach the runner during the race?
You record a voice or video message and it plays in the runner's headphones mid-race, at the moment you choose — the start, halfway, or the final push. The runner needs the Cheerlify app running with headphones in.
Does it work with any route?
Yes. The runner uploads a GPX route for any race or training run, and followers can track them live along it. Cheerlify is not tied to specific events.
How much does Cheerlify cost?
Live tracking is free. Cheers and the saved race recap are the paid features — you buy a per-event pack, and any unused cheer credits carry over to your next race.
Is the race private?
Yes. A race is only reachable with its private link and access code, so only the people you share it with can follow along and send cheers.
What happens after the runner finishes?
After the finish line everyone can replay the route, the splits and every cheer the runner received along the way on the recap page.
