Cheer-only race

A cheer-only race has no live tracking for followers. Instead, friends record a voice, video or text cheer ahead of time and pin it to a kilometre. On race day it plays in your headphones when you get there.

• Turn on Cheer-only race when you create the race (or later in Race settings).
• It needs a route (GPX or catalog) or a race distance, so supporters can place their cheers along it.
• It can't be combined with Multiple runners.
• Placing a cheer at a km works on every pack, including Free. Each cheer still uses 1 cheer from your wallet, unless the race has unlimited cheers. Video cheers need a pack with video.

On race day you still tap Start tracking. The phone then samples GPS sparsely to save battery, just enough to know your km.

On the race page you see who placed a cheer at which km, but not the cheer itself: you hear it during the run, or later in the recap.
