What happens if I leave the course?
On a race with a route, your position is matched to the course and only ever moves forward.
- More than 150 m from the course, a position doesn't move your distance. Your dot waits at the last point on the course.
- When you're back on the course, the stretch in between is filled in.
- Before the start: if you're more than 150 m from the course, the race doesn't go live yet. You see "You're not on the course yet", and followers see you at the start.
There is no off-course alarm. If your distance stops for 5 minutes (less than 20 m moved), followers see "Runner hasn't moved in…".
Followers see your dot on the route line. With Actual track they can see your real GPS path too.
Races without a route measure the GPS path instead, so there is no "course" to leave.
