Start tracking

Open the race in the app and tap ▶ Start tracking. Tracking starts the moment you tap; there is no countdown.

• The first time, a short safety note appears ("Before you start"). You see it only once.
• On a race without a route you're asked whether to add a GPX or Start anyway.
• Location permission is required. On iPhone allow Always, otherwise tracking stops when you lock the phone. On Android precise location while using the app is enough; the "Cheerlify is tracking your race" notification keeps it running.

The GPS chip shows the signal: Strong (12 m or better), OK (30 m or better), Weak, or Searching….

Your race clock is your own start, not the official gun time: it starts at your tap (or at the start line, see Auto-start), not when the race begins.
