No GPS / location not allowed

"Location permission is required to track your race" means Cheerlify can't use your location. Fix it in your phone's settings:

• iPhone: Settings → Cheerlify → Location → Always, and Precise Location on. "While Using" stops tracking when you lock the phone.
• Android: Settings → Apps → Cheerlify → Permissions → Location → Allow only while using the app, and Use precise location on. Approximate location gives a very rough track.

The tracking screen's Before you start box has a button to fix this.

No signal outdoors? Stand in the open for a minute: tall buildings and tunnels block GPS. If there's no position within 90 seconds, or the signal is lost for 4 minutes, the phone buzzes and tells you.

No mobile data is a different thing: tracking keeps running and uploads later.
