Screen locked, phone in the pocket

Tracking and cheers keep working with the screen locked and the app in the background. That's the normal way to race with Cheerlify.

What must stay on:

• Location: iPhone Always; Android precise location. On Android the "Cheerlify is tracking your race" notification is what keeps tracking alive.
• The app open in the background: don't swipe it away.
• Notifications: they wake the app for a new cheer and warn you about GPS problems.

On iPhone, with the screen locked, positions are sent in batches about every minute to save battery. So a cheer sent "right now" can arrive up to about a minute later.

If the phone sends nothing for 6 minutes, we send you a notification. Open Cheerlify and it continues where it left off.
